LabAutomation2010 Call for Abstracts
The LabAutomation2010 conference and exhibition will be held January 23-27, 2010 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, Palm Springs, CA. LabAutomation2010 offers compelling content and new perspectives on laboratory technologies from a broad range of industries and disciplines.
The non-profit Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) is now accepting abstract proposals for LabAutomation2010 podium and poster presentations. Research scientists, engineers, and business leaders are invited to accelerate breakthroughs in laboratory technologies, tools, and informatics by submitting abstracts for presentations at LabAutomation2010. Contributions from academia, government and industry are welcome. Submissions from graduate students, post-doctoral associates and young faculty are encouraged.
Win the $10,000 ALA Innovation Award and a Trip to Beijing, China
The ALA Innovation Award is a $10,000 cash prize awarded to the author of the winning presentation at LabAutomation2010.
Additionally this year for LabAutomation2010, ALA Innovation Award Finalists (up to 10) will be provided with air travel to and from Beijing, China along with hotel accommodations, and a modest per diem to present their work at ACHEMAsia, June 2-5, 2010. For details, visit ALA Innovation Award.

In addition to the above educational tracks, the Scientific Committee Chair and Associate Chair will review all submissions and may select some abstracts for presentation that may not necessarily align with the conference tracks noted above. |

Abstracts relevant to any of these tracks will be accepted and reviewed by ALA's Scientific Committee.
The ALA Innovation Award recognizes outstanding conference participants who present innovative laboratory technologies or new, highly useful technology advances and applications. Podium presentations displaying clarity of vision, extraordinary technical originality, and seminal integration and automation strategies qualify for the award. Presentations from academia, government institutions, and industry are welcome. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Fundamental study to develop new technology for the laboratory
- New application of technology to laboratory automation
- Use of technology to solve a unique problem
