With an eye on tomorrow: The cornerstone of the SLAS mission is member education. It is the reason that SLAS programs, products, services and events exist. Many labs devoted to high-throughput screening, combinatorial chemistry, automated clinical and analytical testing, diagnostics, and large-scale biorepositories have significantly increased effectiveness and efficiency and have advanced in today’s competitive business environment because of the wide (and growing!) spectrum of SLAS educational opportunities.
Directly from the front lines: Volunteer teams of seasoned veterans partner with young scientific talent to plan, develop and present thoughtful educational programming in a variety of shapes and forms. What this menu of choices has in common is that they are all planned and presented for laboratory science and technology professionals by laboratory science and technology professionals. Volunteer teams are guided by the SLAS Board of Directors, BSS and LAS Executive Councils and SLAS Director of Education Steve Hamilton, Ph.D.
365 Days a Year: SLAS conferences may be world famous, but they represent only the tip of the SLAS educational iceberg. This SLAS Learning Center consolidates access to the SLAS menu of educational opportunities, resources, references and more.
