The major modules in the BSI system are: Data Entry, Incoming Shipments, Locations, Reports, Results, Kits, Requisitions, and Subjects. There are also secondary modules which support additional functionalities including: Studies, Sample Reservations, Data Entry Templates, Label Printing, Code Lists, User Administration, User Roles and Permissions, and Work Checklists. Each of the modules has supporting utilities for tasks such as data importing, data translation, and barcode scanning. The BSI is a multi-repository system, allowing the database to provide secure restricted access simultaneously to biospecimens in multiple locations. In addition, BSI can be used by multiple users at multiple locations (including remote locations) on multiple workstations. See www.bsisystems.com for more information.
