Designed to engage academic scientists, pharma open innovation groups, infrastructure providers, CROs and funders from across Europe, the SLAS Translating Research Ideas into Future Therapeutics Conference enables the progression through discovery pipelines of novel therapeutic innovations from academia and small companies.

Project holders Scientists with new ideas or already established assets in the areas of small molecule, biologicals and enabling technologies approaches, are all welcome. The conference presents a rare opportunity to talk to about progress, learn from the experiences of colleagues and potentially build new alliances and thereby create future development partnerships.

Call for Projects and Poster Abstracts

Highlight Your Project’s Aims, Achievements and Needs

The Conference will bring academic scientists and start-ups together with Pharma Open Innovation groups, infrastructure providers, CROs and public funding bodies from across Europe. Project presentations and poster abstracts are welcome from across the complete range of potential therapeutic modalities including small molecules, biologicals, regenerative medicine, digital technologies and devices etc.

Submit a Project

In front of an audience of VC’s, Pharma Open Innovation groups and government funding organisations, project holders from academia and start-ups will have an opportunity to:

  • Present the key scientific findings underlying their existing therapeutic asset or planned program
  • Communicate current asset status and requirements for enabling collaborations including access to infrastructures and CRO capabilities
  • Outline future program objectives and what is needed to achieve these in terms of financing and structural support
  • Receive clear direction on the expectations of VC’s and Pharma and essential guidance on achieving successful project execution and navigating the complex pathway towards clinical stages

Deadline for submission is 30 October. The results of the selection of projects will be announced via email.

Submit a Poster Abstract

Posters can only be submitted via the official SLAS Poster Submission Template and returned to the SLAS Europe Office at

Posters will be presented during the Poster Viewing Tour and evaluated by the independent scientific committee onsite, where the winner will be selected and awarded. If the poster meets sufficient quality requirements, the winner will get the chance to present at SLAS2017 in Washington, DC.
