New Product Award Winners Announced at SLAS Europe 2019 Conference and Exhibition

For Immediate Release

Barcelona, Spain, June 27, 2019 — The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening announced the winners of its annual New Product Awards at the SLAS Europe Conference and Exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain.

This year’s winners are acCELLerate Gmbh (Germany) for their Absorbance 96, Argolight and Waypoint (France) for their Argo-WP and Fluidic Analytics (United Kingdom) for their Fluidity One-W.

“SLAS has always been a platform for organizations to launch new products into the market and we are always amazed at the new products displayed,” said Vicki Loise, SLAS CEO. Severine Tamas-Lhoustau, chair of the New Product Award judging panel and member of the SLAS Board of Directors continued: “This year’s winners brought a terrific selection of new and innovative products. We had a difficult time choosing only three winners from the 16 entries received.”

The acCELLerate Gmbh Absorbance 96 is a uniquely designed microplate reader for assays in 96-well format. As the most compact reader on the market, with a footprint almost as small as the plate itself, acCELLerate Gmbh is the official distributor of the Absorbance 96 by order of ByoNoy Gmbh.

Argolight and Waypoint’s Argo-WP is the first performance assessment device for HCS/HTS microscopes. Consisting of a multi-year stable fluorescent well plate and image analysis, performance tracking and software, Argo-WP’s simple and quick performance tracking leads to increased throughput and simpler quality control processes.

The Fluidic Analytics Fluidity One-W assesses on-target protein interactions even within crude biological backgrounds and provides protein quality analysis during bioprocessing and characterizes unknown protein binding partners.

Each year at the SLAS Europe Conference and Exhibition, the New Product Award is given to up to three companies showcasing new products that are commercially available within 90 days pre- and post-conference. Products are evaluated by a judging panel based on information provided at the time of award application and onsite at the companies’ booths. Winning products are granted use of the New Product Award designation for a year and are promoted through SLAS media channels.
