SLAS Announces Partnership with AseBio, Innovation AveNEW Opportunity at BioSpain 2021

Oak Brook, IL (July 26, 2021) – The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) is proud to partner with the Spanish Bioindustry Association (AseBio) with an international collaboration supporting the intersection of economic, technological and business areas of biotechnology and biomedicine.

As part of this partnership, SLAS will support BioSpain 2021 as a sponsor between September 27 and October 1, 2021 in Pamplona-Iruña, Spain. A part of European Biotech Week, BioSpain 2021 is one of the largest biotechnology events in Europe with 200 exhibitors representing more than 700 companies. The digital event will be held in English and offer on-demand presentations over the course of four days. BioSpain will also include an SLAS-sponsored Innovation AveNEW session, where one company will be selected to participate in Innvoation AveNEW at the SLAS2022 International Conference and Exhibition in Boston or SLAS Europe 2022 in Dublin.

SLAS CEO Vicki Loise is looking forward to the collaboration with AseBio: “This partnership will enhance both of our efforts to support and grow the life sciences start-up community and offer cutting-edge education. SLAS looks forward to continuing to build our community in Spain and especially looks forward to hosting its Europe Conference in Barcelona again in 2024.”

Loise will participate in on a panel entitled, “The Role of Associations as Industry Growth Drivers: Achievements & Future Strategies” on Monday, September 27. SLAS will also be represented in a session on Wednesday, September 29, “Advancing Towards Smarter Screening & Drug Development: Innovations in High Throughput Screening Platforms.”
