Oak Brook, IL (May 15, 2023) – In February, the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) implemented the Lab of the Future program at its SLAS2023 International Conference and Exhibition, which recognized the companies dedicated to integrating upcoming technologies into the laboratory, particularly those that increase automation of workflows as well as connectivity within and between labs.
The SLAS Lab of the Future initiative focuses strongly on the integration of the human element in the Lab of the Future, interrogating not only what the role of the human operator in the Lab of the Future will be, but also how we ensure that the Lab of the Future makes things easier for the human operator rather than increasing the demand for even higher levels of productivity, which can lead to burnout.
Companies who were part of the Society’s Lab of the Future program were recognized at the conference as “Lab of the Future” exhibitors with exclusive badges and booth signage.
This month, 13 companies will have the designation at the SLAS Europe 2023 Conference and Exhibition at the Brussels Expo, Brussels, Belgium, 22-26 May.
The following exhibitors will be designated Lab of the Future companies to signify that they offer forward-thinking solutions and advancements in hardware integration and data processing. These providers are breaking new ground by pushing past the limits of current technology to achieve the complete integration of automated workflows within the lab space.
Several representatives from Automata Technologies, Biosero, HighRes Biosolutions and Thermo Fisher Scientific will be panelists for the "Lab of the Future Panel – The Vendor Perspective" in the conference Exhibition Theater from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, 25 May. This panel will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with Lab of the Future that companies are currently facing. Each panelist will share how their company is taking an innovative approach to creating solutions.
