SLAS Welcomes New Additions to the SLAS Professional Team

Oak Brook, IL (October 7, 2022)The Society of Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS), is pleased to introduce the latest additions of Andrea Kielkiewicz, Katie Tramel, Stephanie Salerno, Ph.D., and Gina Anzalone to the SLAS professional team.

Andrea Kielkiewicz, Sponsor & Exhibits Coordinator      
Kielkiewicz joins the Global Events department as the Sponsor & Exhibits coordinator where she serves as the main logistical contact for exhibitors and sponsors and is responsible for fulfilling global events and digital advertising benefits. In addition, she provides onsite support to coordinate sponsor deliverables at all SLAS in-person events. Kielkiewicz brings a unique blend of exhibition and professional association industry experience to SLAS that stems from her prior role with the Radiological Society of North America.

Katie Tramel, Speaker Coordinator
Also joining the growing Global Events department is Kathleen “Katie” Tramel as the Speaker Coordinator for SLAS. Tramel supports speakers, poster presenters and short course instructors as the main point of contact for all Society in-person events. Additionally, she oversees the logistics for in-person programming ensuring all presentation spaces are configured for the appropriate session format, and that all audio and visual needs are met by external AV companies. Prior to joining SLAS, Tramel held multiple member-focused roles at the Emergency Nurses Association where she spent several years assisting course directors to facilitate accredited courses globally. 

Stephanie Salerno, Ph.D., Program Coordinator
Fulfilling the Program Coordinator role is Stephanie Salerno, Ph.D., who is responsible for supporting and coordinating the educational and award activities of the Society. Aside from managing awards and scholarships, Salerno also oversees the Graduate Education Fellowship Grant and Innovation AveNEW programs. She earned her M.A. in Liberal Studies from North Central College (Naperville, IL) (where is this?) followed by a Ph.D. in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University. Salerno possesses a strong background in education as she previously held the role of Assistant Director of Outreach and Engagement for the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she also taught courses as an Adjunct Faculty member. 

Gina Anzalone, Membership Manager
Just as SLAS membership continues to grow, so does the Society’s Membership department with the addition of Gina Anzalone as the Membership Manager. In this position, Anzalone manages facets of membership engagement and programming, including the SLAS CONNECTED and Mentor Match program, as she continues to support the Society’s mission to provide outstanding resources and benefits to its members. Having previously worked as the Foundation Manager for the American Marketing Association, and as the Assistant Manager, Membership for the American Society for Clinical Pathology, she brings a wealth of society membership knowledge and experience.
