Technology Provider Showcase

The SLAS Europe 2026 Technology Provider Showcases, hosted at the Vienna BioCenter, are designed to connect SLAS Europe 2026 attendees with the Vienna BioCenter’s network of local laboratory automation and biotech companies through half-day, in-person, interactive sessions highlighting their scientific discoveries and collaborations. This Technology provider showcase is co-hosted by the Vienna BioCenter Core Facilities (VBCF) GmbH.

Learn about the approaches and integrations that drive their scientific breakthroughs through detailed presentations and equipment demonstrations. At the conclusion of each session, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facilities and observe equipment workflows in real-time.

Schedule

Half-day showcases will take place on Tuesday, 19 May, and require separate registration. SLAS will provide round-trip transportation between the Vienna Congress & Convention Center and the Vienna BioCenter.

Morning Showcase

The morning session welcomes guests to the Vienna BioCenter Campus, home to seven research institutions, 2000 Scientists and 42 biotech start-ups. The programme begins with a presentation from the VBCF (Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities), followed by a curated selection of innovative companies and start-ups introducing their work in talks:

Akribes Biomedical – utilising protein barcodes to personalise wound treatment.
Myllia – using CRISPR perturbations and single-cell sequencing for drug target screening.
Chan:Pharm – will showcase their automated patch-clamp system.

Additionally, Stefan Kubicek, PhD, from the Centre for Molecular Medicine (CeMM), will showcase his automated small-molecule screening platform. Following these introductions, guests can enjoy a networking coffee break before participating in interactive lab tours of the VBCF NGS facility, the VBC Proteomics service hub, and one soon-to-be-announced session.

Afternoon Showcase

Additionally, Stefan Kubicek, PhD, from the Centre for Molecular Medicine (CeMM), will showcase his automated small-molecule screening platform. After these introductions, a networking coffee break will be provided. Guests will then be transported to CeMM to explore the Kubicek group's automated small-molecule screening system in depth through technical presentations, guided lab tours, demonstrations and discussions.

Badge Pick-up

Registration will be open at 7:30 for badge pick-up. Please bring a copy of your photo ID to the SLAS Europe 2026 registration desk when you arrive at the Vienna Congress & Convention Center. You should plan to pick up your credentials and badge holder prior to departing for the Technology Provider Showcase.

Morning Showcase Transportation Schedule
