Hotel and Travel Information

Rates and fees above apply to each reservation booked using the group form and policies below.

Group hotel reservations (10 or more guests) must be requested through and approved by SLAS, and billing set up with the hotel directly according to the following guidelines:

• Groups must complete the Exhibitor Group Housing Request Form no later than November 02, 2026.
  • This form is for groups of 10 or more guests only; individual reservations can be made with the hotels directly. If you submit a form for fewer than 10 guests, your form will be rejected.
  • The request form will remain open until November 02, 2026 or until hotel blocks are full, whichever comes first.


• The initial hotel block requested for SLAS2027 cannot be more than 5% above final pick up from SLAS2025, without group justification on why a larger block is being requested, such as larger booth contracted, additional poster presentations confirmed, additional speakers confirmed, more attendees registered, etc… This is subject to approval by SLAS at the time the authorization form is received.


• The form above indicates your block has been requested but not confirmed by SLAS nor the hotel requested above.
  • Upon completion of this form, SLAS will forward it to the hotel as appropriate. You will then be contacted by the hotel directly to confirm your reservation.


• Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. First choice of hotel is not always available.


• This signed form, when received by SLAS and confirmed by the hotel, will constitute your official room block.


• The total room nights contained in a group block reservation may be reduced by the group by up to 10% if received in writing by the hotel directly on or before November 2, 2026.
  • This date is known as the Final Adjustment Date.
  • Should a group room block reservation be placed after November 2, 2026, no reduction will be allowed, and the block as reserved at the time of initial booking will be considered the final contracted block.


• Should the room nights utilized — on a cumulative basis — after the Final Adjustment Date fall below 90% of the initial reservation (block), the group agrees to be financially responsible for the unused room nights in the group reservation block up to 90% of the final contracted block.
  • Financial responsibility will be determined by SLAS, not the hotel. The Group will be invoiced by SLAS directly after the event concludes, not before.
  • SLAS will bill the Group directly for any room nights booked but unused up to 90% of the Final Room Block:
    • Room nights will be billed based on individual room night and tax rate;
    • Credit card or check payment will be made to SLAS within 30 days of invoice date; Beyond 30 days, penalties may apply at SLAS’s discretion.


• Should the Group cancel the group room block at any point after the hotel has been assigned, SLAS reserves the right to hold Group responsible for the total number of room nights reserved multiplied by the hotel room rate and tax for each individual room night.
  • Cancellation is defined as the total non-use of the group room block.
  • Invoices will be sent within thirty (30) days following the conference.
  • Payment will be due no later than thirty (30) days after date of invoice.


• Early arrival/late departure dates may not be readily available, but you may request them directly with the hotel.


• Hotel will confirm reservation requests with the Group directly.


• Reservations will not be accepted without a form of payment to guarantee one night room and tax per room reserved provided directly to the hotel.


• Hotel must receive names for the reservations by November 2, 2026. Any rooms held without a name after this date will be released for general sale, and cancellation penalties will be applied.



• Once confirmed by the hotel, group reservations should be modified by contacting the official conference hotel(s) directly:

SLAS will not accept guest contact or payment details for any reservation. Those details are provided directly to the hotel upon confirmation of block approval.

Exhibitor Group Housing Request Form

SLAS2027 has negotiated special rates and benefits for conference attendees at San Diego’s premier convention center hotels.

Not only are these hotels conveniently located near the convention center, but SLAS2027 attendees benefit in several other ways:

• Complimentary guest room Internet service (value of up to $24 per night, some restrictions apply)

• Simplified ability to make reservation changes, if required

By staying in the SLAS block of guest rooms, SLAS is able to contract premier facilities such as the San Diego Convention Center. Additionally, you are helping the Society meet its contractual obligations to the hotels, avoid penalties and help to underwrite the cost of convention center rental, therefore keeping conference registration fees as affordable as possible. Your support of booking your room within the SLAS2027 room block is greatly appreciated.

Please be aware that exhibitors often are solicited by unaffiliated hotels or third-party housing agencies to book hotel reservations. SLAS2027 official hotels will not solicit you to make a reservation. While other hotel resellers may contact you offering housing for your trip, they are not endorsed by or affiliated with the SLAS event. Beware that entering into financial agreements with non-endorsed companies can have costly consequences. When SLAS is notified of these solicitations, we immediately demand a cease and desist of such practices.

Please report any unauthorized solicitations to SLAS immediately.

These groups often advertise a lower rate than is promoted by SLAS for the official SLAS2027 hotels. In some circumstances these reservations have non-refundable or pre-payment requirements and harsh and unforgiving cancellation policies. In some cases, reservations do not even exist at the time of check-in at the booked hotel. For these reasons, and to support SLAS official partners, which helps to ensure a quality experience, we encourage you to book your reservations through the processes outlined on this website.

Passports

During the online registration process, you will have the option to request a Visa Letter of Invitation. You must first register – paying any applicable registration fees – before you can request a letter of invitation.

You will receive the letter via email 3 business days after you complete and pay for your registration and complete the letter request form.

In order to request a Visa Letter of Invitation, you will be required to submit the following information:

• Passport Expiration Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
• Passport Country of Issue
• Name as it Appears on Your Passport

SLAS recommends that all letter requests be made as early as possible due to the current Visa application processing schedule. Letters of support can only be requested through the official SLAS2027 registration form.

Registration Refunds for Unapproved Visa Applications
Refund requests for visa denials will be considered per the refund policy. Requests will be processed within 30 days of the conference's conclusion. Documentation of the application and denial must be included with the refund request.

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is approximately 15 minutes from the San Diego Convention Center and all official hotels. Uber and Lyft operate out of SAN.

Airport Transportation Information

On-site private vehicle parking is available at the San Diego Convention Center's 1,950-vehicle underground garage located below the building. Enter the parking garage on Harbor Drive between 1st Ave. and 5th Ave.

• Parking rates may range from $30 to $50.
• Payment is due upon entry and there are no in-and-out privileges.
• There are 31 ADA-compliant parking stalls with elevator access to the convention center.
• No overnight or RV parking is permitted.
